We just got back from a seven day trip to Canada’s East Coast! It was absolutely stunning but there’s something about being home and being on the lake! Thank you to Clay’s parents, Dan and Terri for keeping things at the camp running smoothly in our absence! Clay and I had two lovely boat rides this weekend. 🐟BIG CATCHES🐟 this past week!!! A whooping 22” - 6.3 lbs large mouth bass and a 20” - 4.4 lbs large mouth bass!! Congrats to Cliff and Ryan! One of these bad boys were caught right OFF THE DOCK! 😎

Wising a Happy 85th Birthday to Clay’s Grandpa, John! John and Clay’s Grandma, Darlene have been an integral part of bringing Whispering Pines back to life. They have been there for us since we purchased the camp in 2023. They have been building, renovating, cleaning and inputting great ideas for improving the beloved camp. All the beautiful flowers were grown and are cared for by them as well! We are so thankful and blessed to have them embark this journey with us! John and Darlene are often on site through the week enjoying and helping maintain the grounds! We have a refreshed sign and made a wider entry way at the top of the lane way that meets Burma lane. Unfortunately the handmade sign that our Aunt painted for us last season did not weather well. Clay, his grandparents and his dad build a new wooden sign to perfectly display a metal Gray’s Whispering Pines sign that our neighbours gave us as a wedding gift! We widened the top of lane way incase anyone misses the turn and has to come back from the opposite direction! We brought an old, tippy canoe up to finish off the display! 🛶 #grayswhisperingpines #charlestonlake #woodensigns #canoe #kayak #thesimplelife #theoutlet #walking #nature

Even though the beginning of this season has been slow for business we have been working hard at improving things here at Gray’s Whispering Pines! In the busyness of our daily lives we have to remind ourselves how important it is to slow down, take a breath, smell the roses (or lilacs), be thankful for what we have and who we have in our lives and how important it is to really appreciate the little things! #thesimplelife #grayswhisperingpines #charlestonlake #family #friends #grateful

THE ICE IS ALMOST GONE!!! 🧊 ☀️ From what we can see it looks like it’s gone but there are still some places on the lake with ice. It won’t be long now! The docks aren’t done yet but we are getting there!! What a beautiful ☀️ SUNNY ☀️ day here at Whispering Pines! Just 6 days ago we had a very bad ice storm. Clay has been away since it hit, helping restore power to areas who got hit harder than we did. I know he will be glad to see the lake WITHOUT ice when he returns home! 🚤 🌊 #spring #icestorm #grayswhisperingpines #thesimplelife

An old new addition to the many human-powered watercrafts we have here at Gray’s Whispering Pines! They are free to use with any cottage rental! We also have canoes, kayaks, a standup paddle board, shuffleboard, ping pong, lawn games and a book library! All the essentials you need to get the most out of your stay! We love to see when our guests make the most of their stay. Whether that be sitting on the dock and taking in the gorgeous views, sitting on the deck conversing with friends and family or spending the entire day on the water! What a gorgeous day last Saturday to hike Rock Dunder in Lyndhurst. Only 18 mins from Whispering Pine! It is a beautiful, well kept trail. It took us about 1.5 hrs total to hike the Summit Loop. There is nothing like getting some fresh air and enjoying the nature around us! 🥾🍃🍁🗻☀️🌊
